Shoot the Moon Photography Wins National Media Award for its MetroParent Magazine Cover

MEQUON, WIS. (March 27, 2007) – Shoot the Moon Photography, Milwaukee’s and the Midwest’s premier fine art portraiture studio for maternity, infants, children, graduation, families, and weddings, announced today that the Parenting Publications of America has awarded Shoot the Moon Photography its Bronze Award for Original Photo: Front Cover/Glossy for the August, 2006 cover of MetroParent Magazine entitled “Back to School”.

The August, 2006 cover of MetroParent Magazine was photographed by Joy Vertz, Founder of Shoot the Moon Photography under the direction of Marie Christiansen, Creative Director for MetroParent Magazine and Diane Jolie, Editor of MetroParent Magazine.

Parenting Publications of America (PPA) recently awarded Shoot the Moon Photography its prestigious award at the annual PPA convention on March 3, 2007 in Nashville, TN.

PPA's Editorial and Design Awards Competition recognizes excellence in journalism, photography and design achieved by publishers, editors, writers and designers at member publications. Prof. Daryl Moen of the University of Missouri's School of Journalism coordinated the annual contest. A panel of judges reviewed 1,184 entries this year (up from 1,048 last year) to choose the winners in each category. All judges have had significant professional experience.
