Shoot The Moon Photography Announces Mequon Homestead Senior Wins National Modeling
Competition
MILWAUKEE, WI (November 28, 2007) -- David Leightner, a Mequon Homestead High School Senior, recently received the top national modeling award from the nation’s leading consortium of senior high school fine art portrait artists. David is the first person ever from Wisconsin to win this prestigious modeling award. Mequon-based Shoot the Moon Photography took the unique high school senior portraits and submitted them into the national competition which then awarded David with this honor. David was one of hundreds of initial nation-wide finalists for the award. The final group of winners was then narrowed to 15 high school seniors. David was only one of four males to win this award for 2007-2008.
With the award, Leightner has won a free trip and will travel to Tucson, Arizona
in January for the 4th annual consortium event where he will be modeling for dozens
of photography studios and modeling agencies. “I wanted someplace hip and unique and Shoot the Moon offered just that. The whole experience was awesome,” said national model winner and Homestead High School Senior, David Leightner. Some of the winners from past years modeling competition have been signed with some of the world’s top modeling agencies and have appeared on MTV and in print ads for various brands throughout the US.
