Northshore Milwaukee Artist Announces Opening of Fine Art Portraiture Studio:
Studio to Specialize in Creative Portraits for Maternity,
Infants, Children, Graduation, Families, and Weddings.
MEQUON, WIS. (January 1, 2005) – Shoot the Moon Photography, a Milwaukee area
fine art portraiture studio specializing in creative portraits for maternity, infants,
children, graduation, families, and weddings officially launched the public opening
of its studio in the Northshore area of Milwaukee today. Shoot the Moon was founded by lifelong Wisconsin resident, Joy Vertz. Joy is an experienced entrepreneur that has been involved in many business ventures focused on the creative arts. Joy has used her business experience in the creative arts to have a positive impact on the Milwaukee North Shore area and with the community organizations she has been involved with over the years. Joy has a Bachelor of Art degree in Studio Art from Lawrence University where she was specifically trained in multiple mediums including painting, printmaking, sculpture, and photography. The distinct aim of Shoot the Moon photography is to use creative photography to develop exquisite portraits that clearly reflect her client’s personality. Joy strives to capture candid, natural expressions and presents them in a beautiful and timeless way. Shoot the Moon was in a pre-launch phase for several months throughout 2004 to test market the unique services the company has made available to offer. Shoot the Moon has quickly created a loyal following of clients throughout the Milwaukee area and the Midwest. In addition to the core services of creative photography for maternity, infants, children, graduation, families, and weddings that Shoot the Moon offers, the company has already executed a contract for a worldwide technology company that is headquartered in the Milwaukee area. This Milwaukee technology company contracted Shoot the Moon for its photography services in a national advertising and direct mail campaign featuring Michael Redd of the Milwaukee Bucks. Shoot the Moon offers many unique services including custom photo DVD set to music, stretched canvas, photo cards, custom collages, and one of a kind bound coffee table portrait books. The custom collages and greeting card and announcement services have been met with great enthusiasm by those clients who are looking for something truly unique. These services are a rare find anywhere in the Northshore and were met with very positive reviews by Shoot the Moons’ test market customers. “What I personally found especially appealing about Shoot the Moon is the custom photo DVD set to music. It brought tears to my eyes watching the slideshow featuring the beautiful portraits of my children. I can’t believe the natural expressions Joy has captured.
